Not B & W Landscapes

Every now and then, as old timers on here know, I stray from the path of B & W landscapes and venture into the world of doggie pictures.

This is usually in respect of my own wee collie, but also when we play host family to a dog whose family is on holiday/vacation and they use of the services of Barking Mad as an alternative to kennelling. We are an approved host family.

For various reasons, we haven't been able to host a dog for a couple of years. But we're back on the trail now and Daisy has come to stay for 11 days.

So, particularly all you folks who do action photography, I'd very much welcome your critique of these. Not so much in terms of what's better than the other, but how these stack up in terms of capturing energy and movement.

Donald, in regards to movement and energy I would say you got both quite well. I particularly like the 1st & the 3rd. I think the brighter area around Daisy's head and shoulders bothers me a tad bit. Appears to be a fun, energetic dog.

The only chance I had to figure out where is the front end or the direction it's
taking in the first shot is the presence of the truffle! :-)
This "girl" is certainly having a good time and you caught her in fully extended
postures or moves. Very lively!

Not that I've done much in way of action photography but Daisy's 'blown away' hair and her feet definitely suggest movement.
Now you have to brush her.

I love these... Great captures of a beautiful dog!

A bearded collie looks great when it is running and its coat is flowing...

Normally, I like to see a dogs eyes but, in the case of running dogs with longer coats, eyes are not always available to be seen...

Take my word for it, the goldendoodle below actually has two eyes despite what is shown on this image...

Jon - That was me adjusting the sliders in the Darken/Lighten Center filter in Nik's Color Efex Pro 4. I think I maybe went a bit too far with it.
