Must be a nude cow.... !!! I was just about to ask Manfred about that Binnur, but I decided to zipmemouth instead -- he might not take it nicely...

Andre...love your shot. Experimenting with light is a good exercise and in this shot, you nailed the beauty of this direction here.

    As usual, SOOC.
Daniel – no, it is no longer Mr. Kodiak,

Thank you for the response. As an amateur trying to mimic the people whom know what they are doing I value your response.

I sure hope you will “linga longa” on this forum as I am looking forward to learning from you.

With regard to the link to the midday landscape of yours: Let’s be honest, if the name Daniel Ouimet did not appear on the image, what would the comments be about the image. “It is flat. The sky has no detail. Those posts in the foreground is distracting, bla, bla, bla. Fix it in Photoshop!”

I still do this kind of “out of time shooting”. Harsh summer sun landscape. Why not?

    John,

An interesting link. I doubt that I will read the book.

How do you drag the shutter without using flash?

What does my name have to do with it!
As a posting member of this forum, a photo is just a photo… or do I misunderstand you?

    I think you misunderstand me!

You made it to where few others will make it. Once you have a name, most people will be very reluctant to comment on your work. I see the same thing happening on another forum where there are some big names in Wildlife/Nature Photography.
I don’t think it is a bad thing, it is something that allows the average amateur to realize that the experts do it, so why can’t we do it.

A photo is just a photo, no matter by whom it was shot, for sure, some are just much better than others. A name on an image does make a difference, the more you surf the Net the more you realize it. It is not the name that makes the photo, it is the photo that makes the name.

Hope you understand what I am saying to you. Really no offence.
