Jewel on the banks of the River Thames
Located on the Berkshire bank of the River Thames is All Saints Church, Bisham within easy walking distance along the northern river bank to the west of Marlow Bridge.
The tower is Norman and dates from around 1175, with the the rest of the building being subject to Victorian restoration in about 1849. That is apart from the 16th century South Chapel.
I have been experimenting with my Canon EOS 6D using a Canon 50mm f/1.8 EF Lens (Mk11). This is a good combination, but still needs practise to perfect.

Christopher,
Nicely done, looks like practice is paying off.

Its a lovely scene. I wold perhaps have taken it with a little less river width and without the house on the right. Can you get more detail on the tower or is it naturally very white ?

Re: Jewel on the banks of the River Thames
Hi Chris,
This shot clearly shows that you can use your gear. It's time to choose the right time!!!
This shot is too evenly lit. The presence of shadows is what would turn this document
into a poem! A few hours before or after would have given these shadows.
…and maybe trying to avoid, where possible, to frame the horizon too close to the centre
of the picture since the body of water brings no added valuable information to your take.

Re: Jewel on the banks of the River Thames
Hi Christopher. Do the buildings look a bit tilted backwards? May be some perspective correction is needed. I would also crop half of the water in the foreground

Thanks for your comments.
I believe the house on the right was/is the vicarage hence I have included it. The stonework of the tower is very white and reflective. The tower naturally leans backwards, which seems to show up more in images than with the naked eye.
