I really like the mood of this scene, John. Especially nice use of indoor and outdoor color balance.

Great shot John worthy of a fashion mag BUT. (there is almost always one! ) you gotta get rid of the green house in the garden

Quite moody John but now that greenhouse has been mentioned, what a daft place to build it.

Was this done with just one or more exposures?

    Mark,

Thanks for the comments, that's the realtor's big selling point.

Very good shot for one exposure. I would have thought it was two, one for the inside and one for the outside of the window as I had seen most shots like this.

Looks like… but is not! As the greenhouse was already mentioned (I note here
that you did a good balance in vs outdoor light and you had no choice but to take
the glass structure along in the shot)) I would point out that the horizon
needs mending as well as some keystone tweaking.

Otherwise, a very theatrical indoor decor and a great take!

Ah, Casa Loma; I haven't been there since I was a child; I vividly remember wanting to have a secret passage between rooms. like I saw there. A daughter of a friend is planning for her wedding there; I understand that you can buy a decent mid-range car for what they charge and there is about a 2-year waiting list.

This is a very difficult shot to do; you have a classical mixed lighting situation, in a very public place, so the usual tricks (i.e taking in some lights and lighting the room)are not available to you as a photographer. I assume you were part of a public tour of the building?

Does it work as something to remember your trip by; yes of course. Does it need more work in post; I would have to answer yes there too. The exterior needs a bit darkening (colour correction looks fine) and the interior needs to be lightened up and the yellow cast removed. Two or three layers in post (assuming your are working from a raw file) would probably make a lot of difference to this image. The greenhouse in the middle of the window would be a pain to rework, but the keystoning is an easy fix too, as is a small clockwise rotation to straighten the room out.

I like the mood resulting from the darkness and the color cast.

Thanks for the comments Izzie. I wish I had the opportunity to really work it but no tripods allowed,

    Hi Manfred,

Yes, part of a tour, also the outside light would change from overcast to full sun within minutes which made shooting even more difficult. Thanks for the comments and critique.
