    Moth in Pinot

    Moth in Pinot

After someone having left the cork out of a fine Oregon Pinot on a recent rafting trip, we awoke the next morning to find that an inquisitive moth had gotten his snoot full and passed out. The photo was taken without tripod. Your thoughts and comments appreciated

Wow! (I don't say that very often… thank you!)
This is one hell of a shot! It is interesting, amusing and baffling! Bravo!

I would say that wow is one of the appropriate responses. At least the moth would not have drunk much.

The moth got drunk, what can one say? -- He is incapable of driving, errr...flying...at least he chose the best place to wallow his tears. ha!

    Re: Moth in Pinot

I was wondering if I was crazy for liking the shot the first time I saw it yesterday, so I decided to hold off my thinking about that before reviewing it today. Nope, I'm not crazy; it's just a wonderfully bizarre photograph that catches me off guard because it's so different from the norm.

Aside from the photography, if I could choose my way of dying, the method of the moth's demise would certainly be near the top of my list of choices.
