    nice shot. It's some kind of hoverfly, but I don't know them well enough to know which. The have wasp-like abdomens but typical fly heads (the eyes and antennae).

    Dan, thanks for that information. It was definitely much smaller than a wasp, so I didn't know what it was.

    I like that kind of sun flowers. And yes, a bug is usually a bonus! It is funny that I took such a similar picture just yesterday. It was meant to show the many mini flowers in the flower's center, though it didn't focus perfectly.
