Daniel,
Are you 100% happy with the shot?
Is the composition what you wanted? Is there space for the bird to fly into?
Is the BG what you want it to be?
Is it worth waiting for another opportunity and wait for the right moment?
Where do we draw the line when we want it to be perfect?
How much time and effort are we prepared to put in to get the shot?
You know what you have done right and what is wrong but I would like to hear from you, how you would critique this shot of yours.
To be honest I cannot pull off a shot like this, I do not have the equipment to do it.![]()
What an expression, I've seen that look on quite a few subject's faces. Nicely captured, unless they are sleeping you get what you get with birds, the slightest head movement can throw off my camera's autofocus system.
Daniel -- you came upon a little lady who had just woken up by the look of it's untidy hair!!!I would be looking that harshly at you too if you took my photo the same way! Can't you just wait until she had taken her shower and brush her beak first?

C&C welcomed ?
Daniel, you captured the bird looking at you with a really great expression of character and the eye focus is spot on, end of.
The crop and highlight police may have some concerns/suggestions but if it were mine I would not change anything.

YES! YES! YES!
I didn't and still don't care… there was too little time!Is the composition what you wanted?
I was hoping it would stand still just for a few shots… I got only one!Is there space for the bird to fly into?
I didn't and still don't care… I got the birdie! Is the BG what you want it to be?
I am making a living with photography. Most of the time, I have no time for such hunting. Is it worth waiting for another opportunity and wait for the right moment?
I was going to my car to rush to a client when I saw the birdie land there. A next opportunity
may never come… I had the 300 ƒ2.8 and a body in my hand and shot the monster!
Who cares for perfection! Any way, this shot is PERFECT… LY FUNNY! That's all that countsWhere do we draw the line when we want it to be perfect?
and that's the best I could hope for! Ok, I make a good living with my trade but only because
I'm having fun at it, shooting anything.
When a shot like this comes, such considerations are futile and irrelevant. The time andHow much time and effort are we prepared to put in to get the shot?
efforts should be considered well before in your working discipline so that when a shot
like this one comes, one's always ready!
Right? YES! I got a funny shot. You know what you have done right and what is wrong
Wrong? No, you tell me…
This shot is like a smile, a candy. Take it for what it is! I don't pretend anything more!!!…but I would like to hear from you, how you would critique this shot of yours.
I do. …and sometimes, I get a birdie! I having a ball when I read the other comments thatTo be honest I cannot pull off a shot like this, I do not have the equipment to do it.![]()
understand the smile, the candy.
Take it easy!

Be grateful she paused and smiled. I wouldn't change a thing.
Very nice capture, Daniel! I am reminded of Angry Birds every time I look at this picture :P
Lovely capture Daniel!
I agree with your answers 100%!! This was an "on the spur" of the moment opportunity, in which you captured it perfectly!!! It certainly brought a grin to my face, and I can't see anything "wrong" with the image, as there isn't anything to pick apart!
Thanks for such a great, cheerful photo!
