I just wanted to say that it means the world to me that you all would stop in and leave some comments. And I want to thank you.

I guess we could all agree that some photos mean more to us than others. I’m going to have a lifelong love affair with this one!

It never even occurred to me that Manfred’s cool Elf observation might be considered an insult!

I noticed the ear but never made the Elf connection. But darned if he isn’t right (again)!

Absolutely beautiful image... It captured the interaction between a lovely young lady and her dog. Great B&W conversion also!

Now.... that is precious. A great memory for her later in life.

Great portrait, Terry, and I love the conversion. For some reason the tension between the girl and dog reminds me of the HMV logo.

    Continued thanks guys!

Greg? I don't know what the HMV logo is. But for some reason the puppie reminds me of the Olde RCA Victor Dog listening to the Gramophone! You kids probably don't know what I'm talking about!

    Obviously I'm easily amused!

Terry, HMV = His Master's Voice. Same logo as RCA. It has an interesting history, including that of its ownership.

    No way Greg!

I just didn't get it with the acronym! Now I do.

Very cool we thought the same thing (even though I'm a bit slow!)!

    This kid does!

An old farm house displayed a 15-foot-tall replica of the dog and Gramophone in the front yard. Sadly, when the property was bought and subdivided into a development, that fine art sculpture was gone.

Sssshhhh...you are showing your age, Terry. (The dog existed in the 1800s as Wikipedia said.)

Taking pet photography is generally a difficult task because first we need to spend some time with them and then take pics.
