Re: Praying Mantis
Great series as always David and good to see you back posting critters again. Good poses and I especially like No 3 but also the complimentary backgrounds on them all.
Such affectionate little fellas and fun to work with. What I do notice different from all the ones I have shot is the shape of the eyes on this guy, all of mine have always been perfectly spherical.
Cheers,
Grahame

Re: Praying Mantis
Thanks Grahame, appreciated bud, yes they are lovely little creatures, this is only the third one I have come across, he was about an inch long and the other two were babies about 10mm and were jumping and running all over the place![EEK!](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/eek.png)
Looking at other Mantis images there seems to be quite a variety although these guys seem to be the only ones around here![Smile](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png)
Cheers David

Re: Praying Mantis
Welcome back, David...I noticed you yesterday when I took a peek (without signing in of course) and wondered if you got some shots from your trip...'Was dying to come in to leave you a note but I was just dead busy.
Anyway...all nice shots of these alien-looking mantis...I am wondering about that little drop of water (?) on the first shot, although I like it's pose and smile there...#2 has the shy-look, really interesting...but I love #3. I am fascinated by the construction of its antennae. I lingered most of all in #3. Love the antennae plus all the other parts that are focused.
