    Simply stunning David, I'm envious

I tried to pick the best of the selection but gave up.

Things here are real bad at present, the cool wet weather seems to have caused all the critters to disappear. I no longer even get flies visiting me whilst having my coffee sat outside the cafe each morning opposite the fish market, now that is serious

Beautifully photographed as always. #4 is my favourite (looks like a painting) followed by #5, and then #2.

Great images David Did you change the colors with PP in #2 or are they real colors? These critters have so many different colors

I like macro shots in which all parts of the subject are in focus whereas the background is blured. #4 is slightly dark but is my favourite in terms of composition. #5 is also very nice, I cannot believe how sharp and clear it is.

The EXIF says 7D + EF 100mm f/2.8L, nice combo!

    David,

These are really excellent images. As someone who does some dragonflies, I know how hard these are to do.

    Cheers Grahame,

We seem to have more of these guys than anything else here at the moment, where have all the bugs gone?

What might be happening here is, we have a mosquito van that comes around spraying every now and then, maybe his mix is too potent

Thanks for commenting Dem, if you have a minute please fill in what your name is, and what part of the world you are in, makes it easier to relate!

The macro shots "you like" require focus stacking, my images are all single frame, and are hand held, although not impossible to do handheld, I have so far not mastered that technique Maybe some glue on the bug's feet would help

    Cheers David

Another nice series David. I don't know how you get so close. They always run away from me.
