Monitor Color
I am now deeply immersed in learning what ever I can about color for PP'ing RAW images. I have therefore noticed that there is a tremendous difference in color depending on the angle of my laptop screen. However, the color on the monitor of my work computer has virtually no change regardless of the viewing angle (vertical angle). Checking the specs for the screens list them as both being Active Matrix TFT LCD screens. So why the difference? If I decide to buy an independent monitor (so I can have consistent color viewing without using a head brace) how can I select without actually seeing it in person? A store like Best Buy only carries the most popular items, not necessarily the ones best suited to the task so I think I need to get it online. Thanks.

Re: Monitor Color
The notebook uses a TN panel and that is bad for retouching, what you want is a good IPS model.

Thank you. I appreciate the info and links. Colin, I have been known to ask the unanswerable.
