Helpful Posts: Summer is the one surviving puppy from the four puppy litter from Mama Mia. Mia had double pneumonia and needed an emergency C-section to save her life. Three of her four puppies were born dead but, Summer, was a survivor and came out kicking and screaming.
Mia was too sick and weak to nurse Summer and we found a surrogate mother; a Chihuahua who lad lost two of a four puppy litter the day before. The Chihuahua did a wonderful job as a mom for Summer.
Summer is the sweetest and most mellow puppy we have ever known. Last night she cuddled with me for two hours kissing me and hardly moving. Yet she is quite active and playful during the day.
Summer already has a furever home. My step-son is flying out to California from Ohio to adopt Summer and another rescue Maltese.
