Good looking lads mate,
They must have an exceptionally beautiful mother...![]()
Loosen up, Daniel...he was just commenting...yes, Benedict's work is exceptional to say the least and so are your sons. You are so lucky to have them interested in your line of work too. Pretty much like one sez in another post -- like father, like sons. Guess you're not trading them for anything like some parents would at times...
Aaahhh....Benedict is following your footsteps in the looks department.

Yes. Yes I did,BTW, this post was about a macro shot that Bénédict did… did you see that? And as I said above, it's a nice watch shot. I had to Google Eden watches and was very surprised to learn they're UK based. Never heard of them...
I must admit I struggle with still life macro stuff. Compositionally your son's shot works.
Very nice macro shot. Did he focus-stack?

This is the part my sons hated me for: painstakingly controlling all aspect
prior to shutter release (discipline coming from large format cameras). I
give credit to Bénédict for the four hours he needed to get the right shot
in front of the lens. Repeatedly asking: "Can I take the shot now?" and me
answering: "Right after solving this or that issue…" until perfect.
And since photography is the ultimate art of compromise, solving a problem
often creates another one. He is as bullheaded as I am… he finally got the
ok to shoot.
The session was to teach my boys the focus stacking technique and they
had to do each a shot that ended up with daddy doing the PP. The stacking
was theirs and the mess was mine! ;-)
Kodiak, what handsome sons you have! The photos are wonderful!
The Eden watch project is definitely a work of art!
When they were playing hockey at peewee and bantam level, Olivier had
"Grizzly Cub" as name in the top back of his jersey. And Bénédict had
"Kodiak Kid"
They are both athlete of different cuts: Olivier's skating is elegant like
a chita and Bénédict like a truck (14 wheelers) and is a great offensive
defence player.
When it comes to hockey, Bénédict is like I was, but in photography, for
now, Olivier is closer. The future will tell… to be continued!
You are a good dad...keep at it...you won't be sorry...![]()
looks like serious photography to me.
If there are 41 images, how do you get the second hand not blurring?
Very good macro.
Were the hands set puroposefully?
And if: "yes", then what reasons did the Photographer have, for choosing the traditional "ten to two" setting?
