Oh Werner, what have you done?
This is not a bad attempt, Wemer, though I do not see the point of framing in the out-of-focus leaves in the top right corner. I also think this is not a good use of selective-colouring. It's pulling my attention away from your subject which is the man. Stick with just B&W.
Cheers
My eyes stray to red. Not certain what you are trying to say with this one. Perhaps if you used a different crop?
Thanks
Tim
"Oh Werner, what have you done?"
Oh John, what exactly did I do?
Hi Werner,
Street is not an easy discipline, it takes a certain amount of bottle to do it properly. Good street is all about engaging with your subject in the street environment. unfortunately sneaking a snap like this most often doesnt work. Have a look at some of Dubai Phils work and youll see what i mean. But keep it up youll get there... no comment on the selective colour!!!
I didn't see anything....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......
Why'd you delete it? My response was directed at your use of selective color, I personally like the use of it but we've had discussions on this forum about the overuse of it as a concept. We were recently joking about a minor photography celebrity (Scott Kelby) who has a distinct hatred or disdain for selective coloring, apparently his editor included one (selective coloring) in his latest book and the author was very embarrassed by the error. So my comment was related to your use of selective coloring only, meant as a joke. Please repost your image.
