    Still practicing my panning skills

In this thread, I wrote about being a new boy at practicing panning skills and we had a good discussion about the subject.

Well, Garry was my model again this afternoon and we tried some more. I got the eyes nailed this time, but compositionally, didn't have enough at the top of the frame. But we're getting good practice and learning as we go along.

Any thoughts. comments, suggestions are always appreciated.

This is very nice Donald You have the whole Garry in the frame, so I wouldn't worry about not having enough space at the top. Do you use continuous shooting option with central focus and take a lot of shots while turning your camera like shooting panoramas?

Looks good to me, it is a Ricky technique to get exactly as you want it, just nailing the eyes is really tricky.
I practice whenever I am at an event with repetitions, e.g track runners, horse & rider going around a jumps course.
First it helps me refine the technique & also throws in something different, so I'm not getting the same shots of every student. Will have a peek where some are after work today & see how they look.
