The Six-ten from Euston.
Another from my local rail station. Euston is the London terminus that serves this part of the world.

The three red lights, perspective, spot on ap driver colours all make this an A1 shot

This is a great image but I really don't understand how you captured it without getting run down by the train John

Terrific image in every way! The front of the train looks to this uninformed viewer much like the personification of a comic book action hero, sort of like the king of all train engines. Well done!

I've nothing particularly constructive to add, but just wanted to note my complimernts on an absolute beauty. That's an image that stops you in your tracks (sorry for the pun!) and makes you look at it.
Be very proud, John.

Everything works with this image John, colour, dof and sharpness on the front of the train.
Ps, is it really one of the Transformers
Cheers, Greg

Hey John, the feeling of speed not being there… it looks like a giant
"dressed for party" caterpillar! I love this shot!

Re: The Six-ten from Euston.
Thank you all so much. This is one of my favourite images (thank you Donald). It arose out of a determination to produce a train shot that didn't feature steam. To answer the Q posed by some of you, it was effectively track side in that in the UK all station have platforms that generally slope at the ends to track level That's where I was and the 300mm lens did the rest.

Although its been said already - that is one beautiful shot and I believe you 100% succeeded in your goal and whilst not a traditional shot it would look good on a contemporary wall.
