What are these white diagonal stripes?
Taken amongst lots of other nature pictures, this one has come out with these stripes. Are they a form of lens flare, caused by the various water droplets? Any enlightenment would be most welcome, thanks.

Did you have any filter(s) on the lens?

i think it is the water droplets yes, its an unusual effect thogh and not one id expect to see at the 5.6 ap that you used, normally youd only get this at much smaller apertures, the droplets must have been very bright!
Donald could have a point!

Looks like diffraction or effects similar to using Topaz star effects.

Re: What are these white diagonal stripes?
My first thought was 'filter' just as suggested above.
The highlights seem just a bit too regular across the whole image to be refraction of water droplets, as the light would fall on them at very slightly different angles, whereas a cross hair filter would create exactly this effect on the highlight points.
