Thankyou all for commenting on the kitty cat.
Izzie the technical bits were using the 100mm macro lens with an off camera flash just popping in the room.
That way I could use 200ISO f5.6 & 125/sec, trying to get focus on the eyes & not the nose was too tricky at larger apertures.
& Mark, that is indeed one & the same Fashionista! (Please tell me there couldn't be 2 of them!)
This is the reason for my little hash-tag emptynesters...her brother is in his second year at St Hilda's College, University of Melbourne. Just recently she became as I call it a real grown up, she finished her PR degree, got a full time (offered to her whilst on Internship) and then moved out into a share house.
So much & all as I tease & complain, I am beyond proud of her. The unemployment rate in our region for young people is anywhere between 15-25% hard to tell exactly as some have given up.
In my speech at her 21st last year, I said whilst she is widely recognised as a Fashionista, the best thing a woman can wear is confidence....anyway here she is with her brother. The highlights were blown, I just couldn't turn down the sun or adjust in time, but I think mood of the pic makes it a keeper.

This last one is very nice too...I like the mood -- happy faces and she is a pretty girl. Smart too, I may say...Yes, true about the unemployment rate in Melbourne and that is really a low number considering. My youngest son also found a job recently and he is a very happy camper now in my house over there which he oversees (and might get one day to be his own place) so I am very proud of him too.

Now with the macro lens on the cat, I am getting more convinced about buying the 100mm macro... Thanks for the info...Love the conversion with the B/W of this last one...and the pose of the girl.
