    Channel curves in LR4

You may all know this already, but just in case anyone else is as clueless as I am: LR4 has colour channel curves!

I've been using LR4 for years and I never knew this until just now!

    Just thought I'd share.

Thanks for the post. I had actually forgotten this. To add to this: the channels option wasn't showing up in my copy of Lightroom 5 just now. I couldn't figure out why, so I hit the "reset" button at the bottom of the right panel. That brought back the channels option.

I was not aware of that option. Could come in handy at times. Thanks, I'll have to take a look when I get a chance.

Its the same as in ACR (part of the HSL / Grayscale tab).

I use this quite frequently to pull up the blues and aquas to bring out the clouds and sky to give the image a bit more "pop"; using the luminance slider.

Now I'm confused. Are we talking about the HSL tool or tone curves? I've been using the HSL sliders. They provide an incredible amount of flexibility by allowing tone, sat, and luminance adjustment to each individual channel. I assumed this post referred literally to a curve tool to do similar. IOW same function but different format.

It looks like misunderstood the original post. Yes, you can adjust individual channels (R,G and B) on the tone curve. Just pick something other than straight RGB on the pull-down menu. It's located right below the "Basic" panel.

Thanks for the clarification, Manfred. Though I'm not much of a curves user I will check it out.

Yes, I'm talking specifically about curves.
