    All alone...except for its reflection

The reflection is what caught my eye on this. Not sure it really works though

The pole is too much a distraction for me. The only way to avoid it is to move the boat and I'd be willing to bet that wasn't an option that you could implement without going to jail.

I don't think I would go to jail...it is MY boat! I will have to move it down a few spaces this weekend. Thanks

When I first looked at this, I didn't notice the pole but I did notice that the back of the boat was out of focus. But then my brain told me that the reflection is the prominent theme and that the bow, which is the part that is reflected, is sharp. But then my eye told me again the the stern is too blurred. I'm a bit confused about what I would want here.

This is cool! I mean you could find a good spot, in the right light and work on
some composition with the same approach on the reflection and the B&W rendition!

I like the image as it is.

I agree with others regarding the pole. Not just as a distraction due to the white but it just seems out of place. If it was an old gnarly wooden pole it would be fine. I like the way you kept the dock/warf/sidewalk out of the image.

Just a thought, Jon. The aft end of the boat is out of focus and doesn't really add anything; so how about a 4 x 5 ratio crop to reduce the pole problems and concentrate more on the reflection? Might even be possible to clone out the pole then.
