Bird pics, something new for me

I have been off line for a wee while, but did manage to get out and about for a walk today.
My husband is a bit of a bird watcher & said I might catch a glimpse of some Blue Wrens.
Glimpse is right, they are teeny and speedy & I have no experience, but am keen to try again - when armed with a water bottle & some insect repellant for the mosquitos..

The habitat... with my first glimpse of the subject..








The resident expert tells me this is an imature male - the rest of the bright blue colouring is seen on a dominant male, which I just couldn't get close enough to for a worthwhile shot..

Nicely captured, kind of late to be starting but you have notched your first species for a Big Year.

Very pretty shots Kay...I think your PP is somewhat on the blue side a little bit in #2 and #3. I like the wishful pose of the bird in #4 though...
