    Identification

I was trying to find out the identification of this plant (still searching) and came across this article about Japanese Knotweed. Has anyone incurred the wrath of the species from the link?

I know nothing about plants other than how to easily kill them while trying vehemently to keep them alive. Even so, I grew up with caladiums and this looks exactly like one of the many kinds of a caladium.

There are so many varieties of Caladiums but it closely resembles the Calypso.

Japanese-knotweed is a monster and local councils, including mine, have spent a lot of money on test trials, which are ongoing, to find ways to eradicate the stuff without too much harm to the environment, as kids we knew it as 'Donkey rhubarb'.

My local council has quite a lot about it on their website here.
