    Hi Nick,

The Black Capped Chickadee is the state bird of Massachusetts. I have not captured a picture of one yet. I was lucky to get the sparrow, usually I try to get photos of slower, larger birds like sea gulls and Canadian geese.

Well, I think your sparrow shot beats 99% of my chickadee shots in quality. Bird feeders attract can attract a lot of chickadees, which makes a great opportunity to photograph them. Or if you feed the ones in your area a lot, they may follow you about when you they see you, and that works too

P.S. These geese are really called "Canada Geese", though "Canadian" is what you often hear

Nice shot, Ali. Great detail, color, and a nice slightly angular position by the bird. My only suggestion would be a slightly different crop with the bird's head closer to center of frame and the tail closer to the right edge. That would also get rid of the object at lower right. Overall well done with a difficult subject.

My thoughts echo Dan's on the crop. Beautiful, sharp detail you've captured. Good job!
