I did a similar shoot for a friend last year, never having done that sort of thing before, and learned a lot from that little project. Two small points to add to what others have written, and which also arose in my photos, that are worth bearing in mind for the future:
(i) be aware of the horse's stance - in the first, some might see a three-legged animal;
(ii) be aware of the background - in the second, it might have been better not to have the tree directly behind the rider.
Cheers.
Philip
Thank you for sharing your points Philip. Both are excellent. It's all about the fine details. :-). Love all that I am learning!!

Hi Kim, very nice images :) If you are learning photoshop, there are clarity and vibrance sliders in ACR part, please play with them and see the difference on your images. These two sliders work fine for most images and people use them frequently.

Thanks Binnur. Will do - waiting for my iMac to come in - right now I have PS Elements 12 - will get PS and Lightroom once I am all set-up. Can't wait!
