Irene, I really like this image very much. the water takes your eye right thru the photo up to where the water starts.
Irene, I agree with Carol. The composition is pleasing. I spent some time exploring the image - up the water and to the vegetation to the right. You have good depth of field, sharp all the way back. You selected a shutter speed that kept some of the detail in the water while softening it a bit. I think I might of liked it even more if you could have managed to get more vegetation on the right and less rocks on the left. Did you get your feet wet. Nice image.
Thank you Carol.
Irene
Thank you Chuck. I was more concerned about slipping with camera in hand as I precariously
balanced on wet rocks. Plus there was a light rain falling.

Irene...it must be my tired eyes -- although the praises has been sung by the above commenters (is this a word?), I still find the image needs straightening a little bit...
I am sorry....am I allowed to complain at 1:30 in the morning...???
I was wondering when someone was going to be brave enough to mention it. I hate being the one that points out a short coming but I think people that ask for feedback realise that receiving both positive and negative comments is needed to help improve their photography.
Mind you I also now know that it is not a good idea to wake Izzie up at 1.30 am....
Irene, if you do crop and rotate it may also pay to crop or clone out the strong yellow leaves on the right hand edge. Great location well worth several visits.
Thank you Paul. I suspect that my working on a small laptop has it's
drawback when it comes to pp. However, as stated, I will definitely scrutinize
this image. I appreciate the cropping suggestion as well.

Hi Irene , I like the image I agree with other suggestions above and I'm looking forward to seeing your edit
Thanks Binnur,
I straightened it a few degrees and that resulted in cropping it. The rocks at the bottom corners are very flat, as seen by the water flowing over them. The second waterfall from the top does give the appearance of flowing in a very angular direction, however the rock directly above it is very horizontal. Hence i used that as a guide.
waterfall edit:
Irene,
Determine whether your camera has a built-in electronic level. (Nikon calls it a virtual horizon.) Even so, be aware that some landscape photos look crooked when the camera is level and look straight when the camera is tilted. When photographing flowing water, it's safest to start with an image captured when the camera is level.
Beautifully captured Irene (I can almost hear the gushing of the water) and your final edit really brings it to life.
