Waiting for her pill...
Sasha a foster terrier mix gets a pill twice a day. We put the pill into some meat, fish or peanut butter and she loves it. Sasha patiently waits for her pill balanced on top of the back of a chair in our breakfast nook...
Mmm... that was good!

What a darling dog! Your photos are wonderful; especially the last "lip smacking" one! Amazing how she balances on the back of that chair!

Re: Waiting for her pill...
How small is Sasha that she can balance herself at the back of a couch...I guess animals have a tendency to spit out medicines they ought to have automatically...

Izzie...
Sasha is around twelve pounds. She has just begun the balancing act. I can see her little brain computing whether she can make the jump from the back of the chair to the kitchen counter. So far, she has thought better of doing that.
We are not sure what breeds she has in her background. I think that she may be a Jack Russell Terrier mixed with a Papallion...

She definitely has the program figured out. I think you're onto the lineage, too, Richard. Thanks for sharing all of your dog shots and stories.

Gee, such expressive eyes. The 3rd shot suggest she has something of the devil about her, too.

Terriers demand respect...
"Something of the devil about her too"... Soon after we received Sasha, she delivered a litter of puppies...
At the same time, we had another terrier mix, Amber who we think was mostly border terrier... Amber also had a litter of puppies!
We could not have these two moms in the same room with their puppies. Each was interested in the other mom's litter but, the other mom would literally try to kill the one investigating her puppies. The terriers were a lot more defensive over their puppies than are Maltese. The Maltese mom will growl and perhaps snap at an interloper but, the terrier mom would literally try to kill any other dog coming near their puppies.
A while ago, we had another terrier mix whom we named Terra. She was found in a junkyard with her puppies under a junk car.
This little five pound terrier was defending her puppies against a couple of resident pitbulls. The pitbulls had gained respect for Terra's defensive ability and would not venture under the car.
