Rawlins WY to Denver CO via WY 130

I left Rawlins fairly early but Interstate 80 was boring and I had already traveled it on the way to Yellowstone. The towns along the way are Saratoga, Centennial and Ft. Collins CO. But, it wasn't the towns it was the space between them. I had seen Medicine Bow National Forest on maps but hadn't thought of going there until I checked my route home today. But, it wasn't all NF, some of these like the deer and wild horses were just sights along the way. Sometimes the light cooperated and sometimes it didn't. I didn't have time to stalk and wait, just quickdraw shooting from the car or highway verge.

That don't look like where I'm from! I think I like the mountains best, maybe the one with the car in it? It kind of shows perspective. Yes, the lighting may not have been right, but the horses are a cool shot too.

I had no idea what I was going to find on this leg. I had seen plenty of shots from Yellowstone and I deliberately made my motel reservations in towns pretty far outside the park to get more of the experience.

This was a pure bonus because I had left myself a lot of time on my last full day just in case of problems anywhere along the line.

This area is really interesting because the area was carved by glaciers and the lake in the pictures is at 10,600 feet. There is a hiking path that goes over the top of it. Some of the white is actually ice. I kinda wondered it it wasn't the last remnants of the glaciers. I knows the Tetons have several small glaciers and I see no reason why these couldn't also be.

I love horses' ones too...and the glaciers are most interesting, especially prefer the last one amongst the glacier shots. The way to Colorado has excellent photo ops. You should see more along your way home too. All excellent shots as usual coming from you.

P.S. The one that sticks to mind when it comes your photoshoots was that "When I Grow Up...) Haven't topped that one yet...

I like the landscapes, #4 & #6. In 4 the mountain has an imposing presence, which is probably enabled by the car giving a sense of scale to the composition; and the 6th because of the reflection in the lake.

I liked all of them very much; i also feel #3 and #5 would look better if cropped like #1 and #2

I have to go with the last one as my favorite. I like the use of the foreground in relation to the mountains. Nice work.
