Re: Mellow Yellow Fellow
...I am feeling bitchy this morning,Barry...
I love the flower, OK? The bee is my problem...it is almost lost in the middle of it all but not for the wings...Can you do something about it? Nope. It is too late, I think (in my case too early in the morning to be up and about...) I guess I'll live...both ways. Nice shot actually even if I am not too kind...

Re: Mellow Yellow Fellow
Nicely done Tom, I like the pollen on the bees legs.

Hey Tom,
Good composition… everything at the right place!
I see nothing "mellow" in here but the title…
• the light is very harsh but not the problem since no hard shadow is
misplaced and/or disturbing.
• The colours, though in a pleasing palette, are to harsh (read strong) as
well… quite saturated even for a subject in hard light.
• sharpness and details are great.

Re: Mellow Yellow Fellow
Nice capture. you have good detail.
I agree with Izzie--the position of the bee isn't ideal. First, it blends in. Second, shots of the back of a bee from above aren't as interesting as shots from the side or front. Unfortunately, honeybees don't make it easy to get a better perspective, because they dive right in to get the nectar they eat. Bumblebees are even worse in this respect. However, if you get lower, so you are not looking down at the flower, have patience, and don't mind throwing out a lot of images that don't work, you can get side or front views.
