    Boat are waiting!

Chennai beach on the outskirts. The first one is tonemapped and the second one is processed in LR5. Which one do you think looks better? Thanks.

    Tonemapped with HDR Pro.

To me there is not a whole lot of difference, I prefer the first one though... the sand colour is more vibrant.

Matt, my preference is the boat in the first and the sea in the second. See, you just can't win. On a serious note though, this is where HDR comes into its own - as a tool. I'm not above using it as an artistic medium but it needs to be used with discretion.

I like #1 for more vibrant colors Haseeb I don't know why you needed HDR for this image . IMO the same effect could be achieved with other softwares too.

I gotta agree with John...were it me I would have selected the boat and sand and pulled it into the
    LR version of the water.

Thanks guys! You are right Binnur, just went for a quick fix with HDR Pro, could have done the same with LR 5 or with PS as you mentioned.
