    Pont de diablo

It seems that there are quite a lot of "devils' bridges" all over the world and they have a sad story to tell as these are the bridges that get used most for suicide attempts.
It's the closest of the 3 bridges that is the pont de diablo and I think the 2 small arches look like eyes and the main span of the bridge resembles a howling mouth (a bit)
    Anyway nobody jumped today !
    C and C most welcome

Hi Mat Very nice location indeed . I wouldn't include the big stones in the foreground while framing. IMO they are distracting.

I have a version without the stones but I risked life and equipment getting this shot so I posted this one !

    Hi Mat,

not sure about this one, i like the shot and love the composition generally, Binnur is right the stone do dominate the shat though, personally the water is a little smooth for my taste but thats all personal opinion. not shur about the ghosting on the left of the shot, looks a little wierd to me.

Mark, I will post a version without the foreground rocks, you guys could well be right perhaps I was trying too hard! As for the ghosting well it was a splash of water that landed on the lens (filter) and I don't know how to get rid of it !

Well, I like the shot as is, but that's just me. I find the water splash rather helps tell the story of how the photo was made...

Hmmmm....I like the rocks but not too much of it that it sort of distracts...and since you risked limb and camera to get this, keep it -- better than no shot at all. I am partial to smoothing the water silky. I rather like the natural look but with a little bit of smoothing, not too much. Some this thingie can be overdone.

Several members have suggested that the rocks are a bit too distracting, so in the interest of an open debate, here's a version without the rocks.
I could have just cropped the rocks out, perhaps that was what you meant? Opinions please.

Ouch...you turned the clear water to molten wax, which i am not happy with; do you have a fast shutter one from the same angle?
    Second one i really like

Nandakumar, Thanks for your comment but the water was never clear ! It's a small waterfall area so was a swirling white mess of froth etc but i understand what you mean. The intention behind the long exposure was to get what I call streaky skies which i really like when shown against a solid building/structure.
Here's a faster shutter speed version from a slightly different position, but I feel it's a bit weak as a shot

    Pont de diablo

This is straight from the camera so needs a touch up

I like that… all three but specially the first one. You must have got your feet wet for it…

Three nice shots of the bridges, each with its own mood. Its the molten wax (good description) for me as a preference. The only thing that is a bit distracting is the movement in the trees but you can't do much about that.

All good Mat and for me it's No 2 with those great reflections. The foliage is the biggest problem with these long exposures but there's nothing you can do other than pray for no breeze.
