Church of Santo Stefano in Soleto

Some pictures of the Church of Santo Stefano in Soleto (Lecce, Italy). It was built at the middle of the fourteenth century and it contains many ancient byzantine frescos of great value, among them one of Christ-Sophia (third picture) and of a byzantine and a catholic priest side by side (fourth picture).
Although it is an historically very important monument, the church is little known among tourists.

Exif info of the pictures (lost during processing) can be found on the page http://www.milanofotografo.it/englis...0e%20monuments

All pictures taken with a Panasonic G2. The first two pictures are double exposures separated by 1.5 stops, fused using the algorythm on the page http://www.milanofotografo.it/englishFotografiaHDR.aspx and finally optimized using Faststone.
Other pictures of the church on the Google+ page

+1 to Steve's comment. I would clone the heads in #2

Agreed. I would also consider cropping out the lights in both 1&2. The bright lights are a little harsh on the eyes.

The rugged age really shows in 3&4. These are my favorite.

    Nicely done.

Consider that the pictures were taken after a guided tour, with still people inside and in a hurry because they were soon going to close the church again!
In general I prefer not to crop out unwanted details, if it would make necessary to crop out also part of the subject. In particular, regarding the head, I regard more useful having more of the frescos on the right in the picture.
