Full Moon with Bird - C&C Welcome

Hi, going forward on my photography venture I stopped and clicked another shot. Can you please review it and let me know what exactly is missing for it to make it much better?

It is my first attempt to shoot full moon. It was a preplanned shoot with the monument. But suddenly I saw these bird flocks near the monument and framed it with the full moon.

Please provide your views and suggestion with composition and processing. I have attached the cropped frames along with uncropped frame. Also, please feel free to suggest the crop from the uncropped version or cropped version.

    Thank You

PS : Please click on the image for lightbox screen view (Highly recommended).

Very, very cool shot, Raj! A tighter crop —just because you did not use a super
telephoto— otherwise I think it is beautiful!

You have more than just one bird in there! ;-)

Hi Raj, very nice shot If you want the birds to stand out more , you might try cropping #1 from top of the flying bird by leaving the fork-like branches on the left in the frame. I would also crop it from the top a little bit to make a square crop.

Thanks a lot for your valuable review and suggestion with the crop. I was limited to 200mm on crop sensor. I will be 1.4x getting teleconverter soon only for the moon shots. The crop is looking fantastic.

For Me Raj it's No 1 as is, I prefer the inclusion of the flying bird right in the centre of that V.

Hi again Raj As I said before I like #1 and I suggested a crop if you want to make the birds stand out more and you also asked for some crop alternatives in your thread. I also like #1 as is like Grahame does. I don't mean one is better than the other. If it was my image I would actually keep both versions for different feelings. The 'as is' version emphasizes the feeling of 'night' very well and the 'crop' puts the emphasize more on the birds and the moon.

thanks for your kind review and suggestion. I will keep multiple crops but my first priority is Crop #1 because of inclusion of the bird.

    Hello Raj.

The first thing I want to say is thank you for sharing such a lovely image.

My personal preference is for image 1,, but cropped from the bottom while keeping the flying bird.
