Using canned gas runs the risk of spreading shutter oil about. If you have the old type which only gives a low pressure flow of gas rather than a blast you can use that in short puffs. I have a can I keep for the purpose, over 20 years old with angled jets which keep the can upright.
Using the dust delete image is really only a temporary remedy for use in the field. You will lose image quality and of course you have to develop raw files using canons software. If you shoot jpeg only ok, otherwise clean sooner rather than later.
If you have a new camera with oil on sensor get it serviced my the manufacturer, it is their problem to solve, eg. the Nikon D600 problem. Canon had the same issue with the original 5D.
