Blue Angels for Izzie

I always connect aircraft photos with Izzie. Granted, my mind works in peculiar ways sometimes. This was taken from a kayak on Baltimore Harbor last weekend during the Star Spangled Celebration celebrating the 200th anniversary of the writing of our national anthem. It rained much of the day but a group of us had a ball paddling around the inner harbor viewing tall ships and visiting naval vessels. The Blue Angels were delayed until the ceiling lifted a bit and I was lucky enough to catch this shot of them over Fort McHenry.

Nice catch Andrew! With a foreground like that, who need centre line view sans commentary? The occasion and the special event itself are bonuses. I love the fact that you included the flag in your shot...warms my heart...

I would truly appreciate more shots of the event since you brought your camera with you in the kayak.

Thanks for the thoughts...I had posted several other photos than airplanes you know...let's see, I had flowers last fall, a pelican from last year too, my doggie Tucker before and after cancer, a misty scenery from Tennessee...etc. I will soon upload an image I have been fighting myself about how to process...watch another space for me...
