D810 Nikon fast service
Well that's service for you, I am a PRO user with Nikon but I don't think that counts for the speedy return.
D810s have a sensor problem with white dots on long exposures, as I also do Astrophotography this is a problem.
I sent the camera off and it was received by Nikon Tuesday, today, Friday, 11:50 it is back.
That's good service, unlike the D610 problems

I hope that I am ultimately as content. Mine went in the post Monday. They notified me that they received it Wednesday. If they turn it that quick I'll likely get it back this coming Monday.
As I understand the problem it is just a software/firmware fix. But apparently required more than a simple firmware download. I only do long exposure work once in a while but I have found myself shooting a good bit in 1.2 crop mode which has also been identified as a potential problem. I haven't seen it in any of my shots. Or at least it hasn't been noticeable. I haven't examined them at pixel level to look for hot pixels. At any rate, I went ahead and sent it in.
