    Overwhelmed...

During my recent trip to Tennesse, I was standing by the deck of a barn and this is what I spied down below -- the official photographer on the other side of one of the doors. I thought it would be nice if I can get this shot when he walks passed by the window of the door. I waited...and I got this shot:

    Overwhelmed...

I am not happy with this shot and I wonder if there is a way to salvage this photo...The woman at the back is distracting. She is the main barker who directs everyone to their places and I only like the woman whose face is not is looking at the camera and the guy behind the window. I tried to remove woman in the dark clothes but I wasn't good enough...and there are a lot of distractions too. (And yes...it was raining...there was a torrential storm earlier actually. )

    Advice please...???

    Thanks...

    Hi Izzie,

I have a similar shot that needs editing and I got advice here on using the spot healing brush/content aware method. It takes a bit of work but can help you achieve your goal. The method is available in Photoshop, LR, and Elements.

Good shot, Izzie. It looks like the woman has been surprised by her "reflection".

I think you need to use the spot healing brush, the healing brush, and the clone stamp to remove the unwanted woman. If you are subscribed to Kelby One, Pete Collins has a good tutorial on using these brushes.

I did this in about 5 minutes using those three tools.

    Re: Overwhelmed...

Thank you for all the comments, John, Greg, Binnur, Kodiak and everyone else.

Greg...John, this is the original. No editing here because I am trying (very hard) to take shots like Kodiak, but I use the exposure triangle no flash most of the time now in most of my shots to practice. The only thing I did here was change the image to Jpeg and cropped. Thank you for the Kelby One subscription suggestion. I keep forgetting that. I did a copy of this and tried content aware but it did not worked for me. I guess I will have to learn how to perfect it. Your edit is what I was aiming at. Thanks...it is very beautiful.

I will subscribe to the Kelby One on the yawning when I am properly awake...
