Pity about the pale grey sky against a white bird; but not really a serious problem. Everything sharp and well exposed.

White bird against a grey sky looks like a pretty demanding test for the lens, Joe, and that first shot has plenty of detail in it.

Based upon what we are seeing, the lens is working quite well, but...what are you seeing at 1-200%?
The guy behind the camera seems to have done a really good job.
