Gold or Silver?

Somehow, the second option seems to have slightly more impact; but I can't really say why.

I like the colour the first, Marie, but the second seems a bit sharper - possibly just because of the contrast between black and white. Maybe you could try sharpening the first one a bit.

The gold one for me for one simple reason: the bright light on the left side isn't distracting. In the monochrome version, that light is brighter relative to the rest of the image and is distracting.

In the monochrome, if you toned down that bright light and sharpened the image quite a bit (this kind of image can use considerably more sharpening than most kinds of images), I think I would prefer it over the color version.
