I really like that Joe. It is just a tad flat to my eye but that is easily sorted. There is also a slight lean to the right but I don't see that as a problem. Well seen shot.
Nice capture, agree about the flatness though.
Nice composition. It could use a bump in contrast to give it some pop and also a bit of tilt correction.
How so I correct the flatness? Is this a function of the suns position? Is there some post processing I could have used to correct this?
Post Processing. Use ACR...and bring the saturation up a tad then see how you go. Pushing sliders also works, just remember the original settings so you can put it back and compare results.
I would suggest it needs somewhat greater overall contrast, and but more specifically a good dose of "local contrast enhancement". What this is called will depend on what post processing you have available. In Lightroom it's called "Clarity", and if you have a specialist b&w processor, such as Nik SEF Pro it's usually called structure. How so I correct the flatness? Is this a function of the suns position? Is there some post processing I could have used to correct this?
Here is a quick example of what I mean, not meant to be the finished article (if you don't like others to edit your images, please say and I will remove it)
