Can anyone on here tell me how I can fix back in the gold metal bit that fits in my xd card I presume this is the storage bit mine has just fallen out of the plastic holder

The gold section is the contacts - first they're not meant to come off (obviously) but secondly I'd be very surprised if you can glue them back in place and hope they'd connect to the main board inside.

Maybe it's micro sd in a converter type problem? They sort of clip back in but sometimes the holders do not fit all that well in an sd slot. They are more intended for use on things like phones - put in and more or less left in place.

the xd card is from my finepix5000 I know there are some pics still on there just wanted to know what they were ... I probably have them on a cd this is something I always do when I complete a photo session, i.e. a holiday
