    Cropping

When cropping your photos what size is best for web display? I typically crop to 4x6 or 6x4 out of habit...

Nicely said, there is no easy or consistent answer to that one. Every website has different suggestions of dimensions, file size, etc. and it really does depend on how the image is displayed.

In the absence of other information, I tend to default to 1920 x 1080, which is a pretty common widescreen standard used in HD video. The inch crops sizes are really meant for prints, not web display, which are measured in pixels.

Your 4 x 6 ratio has the same ratio as 1920 x 1280, which probably works just fine as well.
