    Marie, nice shots. Have you considered cropping both of them to make the photos portraits and get the other tree out of the photo?

    Nice shots, Marie. You might consider cloning out the bright spot right in front of the bird's beak in no.2.

    Chuck,

    What I liked best about the trees on both sides is that I thought they helped to serve as a natural frame.

    As winter progresses, hopefully I will have the opportunity to shoot these fun little guys closer up..

    Very nice colours, Marie. As a framing device, I think the trees do stop the eye from wandering too far from the subject

    +1 to Greg's comment here. I agree with his and Chuck's too. The birdie itself is very pretty and still, the question is what was it looking up at? And the response to that will be wider too without the the other tree.
