    Elegant Terns

I have wanted to photograph flying birds for some time, and finally had an opportunity to give it a try in Baja California by the Sea of Cortez. Here are a couple of my first attempts. I was using a lens that has a fairly slow focus and that caused a significant challenge. Bottom line, I had fun.

    Elegant Tern being elegant.

Great shots Chuck (especially given the lens issue)

He is obviously very intent on getting his lunch. What a fine dart shape the diving one has made itself into.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope photographing flying birds will help me learn to photograph running mammals.

Excellent shots. Running mammals are, at least in my experience, a darn site easier
