    Sunset dilema

I am trying to pick a sunset shot for the wall of the lake house and have narrowed it down to these few. Now I think I have been looking at them too long. While I take a break from these I would appreciate the thoughts of you all that are way more skilled and knowledgeable than I

Beautiful shots Jon. And the winner is ................. No 4. I prefer this one because of it's narrow aspect ratio (which I think suits this shot and also should be good on a wall) and it's brighter exposure in general. It looks a little sharper too ??

I will also vote for No 4 John based on the aspect but also that there is more detail on the right side, very nice scene.

#1 could have a narrow aspect to that will be nice because of the colour of the whole shot...though #4 seems to be more brighter there is enough details in #1 to make it a narrow crop too. I prefer #1.

Another vote for number 4. The image captures everything of importance and nothing else. If you are going to mount it, the choice of matte colour(s) looks like an interesting challenge!

    Re: Sunset dilema

I doubt that i am more knowledgeable or skilled but as it is a sunset shot I would go for 3 simply because the boats are not apparent. Once i noticed the boats in the other shots I focused on them instead of the colours of the sunset.

Both 1 and 4 have more detail in the sky, so I prefer these over 2 and 3. Doesn't the final decision depend on what shape your wall space is ?

All stunning shots Jon, but number 4 stands out for me.

Kaye, it is hard to believe that in a 900 sq. ft. cottage I would have a big empty wall but I do. I was originally thinking #4 at 32x18 above the sofa. I am still thinking the same.

Thank you all for the comments. I think I will wait until this weekend to make my final decision
