Hi David, very nice shots, my best is the family shot
Great series David,
Can I ask how they were lit - e.g. flash for some?
Thanks, Dave
Thanks Binnur, i'm glad you liked it
David
Cheers Dave, much appreciated, all were lit with diffused flash- Canon 580ex 11 on side mounted flash bracket, with large MacDonald' s drink cup over flash, then 2 sheets of kitchen roll on taped to the end of the cup Looks naff but does the job
David
Of course I like all of them...!!!
Look who's talking?! -- you just came back from a trip yourself... Finally arrived to our destination last night -- We're in the la-la land of the pelicans, I think...some other birds too. Bloody GPS took us the scenic way, got stuck in a 3-mile accident traffic in Georgia, finally woke up to realized we have been had and stupid iPad did not want to connect to the internet -- want some more money, gave some more money, still did not want to connect, gave up and decided to follow the rigs (trucks) that took us away from the accident using another route. I waved them a Thank You when we passed them...Good physical GPS those trucks, better than digital...!!! LOL Sometimes...simple is best...Live and learn as always.
Will upload some images soon as I get this house sorted out.
Glad you finally got there in one piece pal I used to drive big rigs (trucks) myself so most times they know the fastest way round a jam, c.b, radio was a great tool for the job Looking forward to your posts, have a blast
Cheers David
David, these are stunning shots.
It just opens up heaps of questions from me.
I would love to know how you did it.
My macro is usually a frustration experience.
How did you get the fly's to stay in one place while you get organized.
Is the camera hand held.
Did you use flash, if so was it ring flash or off camera.
Hope its not rude of me to ask all these questions I still feel fairly new to this site.
If I could get anywhere near what you are achieved I would be happy.
Thanks Jill
Excellent shots. I like them all but, #4 is my favorite. Oh Heck, I am always a sucker for romance
David,
I have just found Danks excellent description on how he does his macro. I should have looked further, before I asked all those questions. So I do have that information.
Any additional information however would be gratefully received.
I suddenly am thinking that I can do this after seeing what you have achieved.
Thanks Jill
Hi Jill, sorry I have not been here to answer your questions, its a long story lol, if there's anything that Dan never covered, feel free to ask!
Cheers David
Cheers Richard, lol your a man after my own heart
Great set. #4 is my favourite.
