    Coloring Photos

    Hi All,

I colored a photo of my grandparents on the day of their wedding circa 1950. My Grandma died at 85 in a car accident in May '14 and my Grandpa isn't doing so great at 89 in the hospital still. I colored this photo for him to enjoy while he's recovering. What do you think?

The treatment is spot on in my opinion. Identical to the hand coloured images from the past. Not heavyhanded

I am sure your Grandfather is quite taken with this.

Thanks for the kind remarks. I've printed it and am going to have it framed so he can hang it up in his new home down in Florida.

Its lovely and has the real 50's feel. And if your Grandfather likes it, you have achieved your goal.

Thanks guys. I just uploaded a few tweaks to this image. I found out that my grandma had green eyes and she wouldn't wear dark lipstick like the one I chose. So I've added the edited image too. So far everybody in the family loves the color choices I've made.
