Brian, you are certainly coming up with some good ones lately
I have found of late that my technique has changed. For a long time i just went out and shot what presented itself. Now I am intentionally shooting for my blogs. Fewer shots but more thinking and preparation. Most still end up being deleted but those that aren't seem to be of a better quality.
Nice effort.
Nice capture B, well done bud

Very nice shot Brian
Does a recipe mean I am becoming predictable? But as for forgetting about saturation I actually took it into consideration. With the content of the blog it seemed to me a this shot worked better with a tad of decay/darkness in the white blossom:
In Buddhism, indeed in many forms of spiritual belief the reality we inhabit is declared to be an illusion of one sort or another. But if you stub your big toe when you get out of bed it is going to hurt. If you don’t drink you will get thirsty. Don’t eat? hunger soon strikes. The simple but undeniable truth is that this illusion comes with some very real rules and ignoring them causes you real problems.
The single rule that is ignored by more people more often to greater misfortune is the rule that Death and Life are intimately connected. It is impossible to have only one.
We have from time before time moved within the cycle of Life and Death. Moved from one form of existence to another. Science tells us that what makes up our bodies, our world and our universe is material that has been constantly recycled since the Big Bang. Many religions claim a creator God that gave us our beginnings.
It doesn’t matter which view you accept. The fact is that you Live now and you will Die within the foreseeable future. From this coming Death will come Life. From the Life will come Death and on and on the cycle goes. When and where it stops no one knows.
All you, or any being can do is to live Life with Wisdom and Compassion. Not so that you can attain enlightenment or earn heaven but simply because it is a nicer more pleasant way to live.
It also seems to me that the CinC web site darkened the shot. It might be just my eyes but here is a link to the shot on my blog if you want to compare? http://iligitimusnoncarborundum.word...-of-existence/

A recipe is a procedure protocol that yields constant results: an omelette,
the way to work and back, or even a photograph. I have zillions of recipes
that I adopted over time and experiences. —One meets a problem, finds
a solution, and applies it to upcoming similar situations.
Fast food chains apply recipes in their restaurants all over the world and
this predictability is part of their marketing strategy… and their success.
This strategy, however, implies that all these chains will offer the same
s**t in equal quantity and quality anytime, anywhere… at the same price.
Yes and no!
Yes: Because the applied recipes are the results of your learning added
to your experiences. What becomes predictable is the higher quality.
No: Your artistic intent makes sure that, though based on those recipes,
your quest of possible subjects is widened due to your ever growing exper-
tise and your arbitrary. What becomes predictable is the surprise effect!
