    Nestled shed

Came upon this shed on a late afternoon drive. The sun was setting and
    the lighting was soft.
I tried black & white but that's a whole new field for me.
    I would appreciate C&C.

Edit: I did a crop and increased the saturation and lighten the weeds on the right side a tad.
    good practise.

I sure do like the soft light and your post-processing that preserved that mood. If this image was mine, I would be very tempted to use a square crop. Otherwise, I would tone down the foreground plant in the bottom right corner, as it pulls my eye away from the subject. Even if you tone it down, I would probably use an 8 x 10 aspect ratio.

To process good B&Ws, one needs great colours…
Though I would not change anything to the frame ratio,
IMO, the file hasn't reached its full potential.

Nice effort, the cast shadows directly above the door should be darkened.

Thank you Mike. I appreciate your comments. I will play with the crop ( know how to do that . Will have to
do a search on " toning down ".

Thank you David, I agree about more FG. However this was out in a farmers' field & there was some clutter that had recently been dropped there. Not good.

Thank you John, I will try to find out how to do that as well as toning down as per Mike's comment.

    Irene,

"Toning down" is a non-technical term usually meant to darken and/or desaturate the color. I mention this only because you probably won't find anything in your post-processing software that refers to "toning down."

Thanks Kodiak. I'm slowly learning my way around editing in Elements 12.

    Edited :
I cropped and added some saturation and lightened the weeds a tad on the right hand side.
    Good practise.
