apologies to all for the lack of Post Production - my monitor is not playing so i cant check the actual colour / contrast etc on these, some resizing and a bit of sharpening but no more. C & C most welcome

The art of seduction for male spiders is to engage and retreat as quickly as possible and not get caught and killed. This sequence is a amalgamation of shots from 4 or 5 attempts on his part.

He seemed to have the knack as at the end of this sequence he walked away - I missed that shot as usual in a awkward place with bad light - all hand held and natural light, one day I will sort out a flash set up !

thank you Binnur and John, yep definitly an art. Not many survive the attempt by all accounts. From #3 to #5 and back to away past #1 tended to be a 5 seconds or so, so a slow approach to that point and then from any movement at point of #3 hit the shutter and hope you caught it, unless she decided he had got it wrong then he caught it !
