Helpful Posts: I go hunting and fishing to a place run by Oregon State Wildlife Dept. and on my way there, I pass by a farm with these, and a few other farm equipment placed along the roadway outside their fence. I've always wanted to take a few shots of them but never bothered to stop. They have these things decorated differently, depending on the season. Around halloween, they put pumpkins, corn stalks, etc in the trucks. Christmas, they have them decked out with lights, etc. When we stopped toady, the sun wasn't in the best position and I didn't have my high end camera with me. All I had was my P&S so I made the best with what I had. How'd I do?

These would make my Mom so very happy! On the other hand if I showed them to her I think my Dad might kill me as I don't think he wants to add any old truck 'flower pots' to the front garden
We stopped by the Harry and David store a few years back around Halloween and I was very impressed by the thematic display for fall pumpkins et al that they had out front. Must be an Oregon thing and I like it!

Shane, I'm with you. I love these old trucks. But, I like them more if they're actually functional. Seeing them sitting out there as a flower support system seems like blasphemy to a gear head.
Izzie, they are real plants. There is a long, wooden fence line that these are lined up with that has grape vines growing around them. Looks really cool and well designed.
Kodiak, the plants help with the anti-theft part, but, the flat tires will also add an extra layer. Not sure if these guys even have an engine in them. Thanks for the feedback. I plan on taking out my other camera to get a better quality shot as well as get the right lighting.
